Sensual Dreaming

Steal some time at the end of the day to indulge in your own sensual dreams. Run a bath with an aromatic oil, add some dried or fresh flowers, fill the room with tealights and candles, bring the stereo into the room and play the songs that get you in the mood.

Run your hands over your body, feel your own softness and sensuality. Fall in love with yourself. Close your eyes and let your imagination take you on a journey of the senses.

Invite your partner into the bath if you feel like company. Or if you feel like enjoying your space a little longer spend time applying your favourite body oil. Apply all over, take your time and enjoy.

Finish off the experience by changing into your favourite night attire or no attire, slip between the cool soft sheets and leave the rest up to your imagination, or your partner’s imagination!

Notice Nature

On taking your first step outside for the day or looking out the window notice what sort of day it is.

If it is sunny feel the warmth on your skin, recognise the sun’s energy and try to keep that energy with you through the day.

If it is raining feel the freshness in the air as the gives the earth a good wash. A time for renewal, new beginnings, new growth.

Serve Up Your Daily Wish

Take a minute before you get stuck into the busy day. Either in bed, the shower or before you get dressed.

Take a deep breath, close your eyes, empty your mind of clutter and busy thoughts by thinking of a wish. It can be a simple wish such as “I wish for a peaceful day” or “I wish for my child to enjoy school today” or “I wish for something really amazing to happen today”. It can be broad “I wish for guidance in my life”.


If you can’t think of a wish try to remember what you wished for when you were a kid, like when you broke the wishbone on a chicken. Even if it is something silly like “I wish I was a mermaid”.

At least for this small amount of the day you are getting out of your own head, using your imagination and reconnecting with your childhood dreams. Take it with you during the day and during stressful moments keep the wish at the back of your mind. A peaceful haven.
